"This a fun, focused, and high-energy class great for all aspiring musical theater performers or those interested in learning and/or wanting a refresher in lyrical jazz dance is a style that blends elements of ballet and jazz, along with modern. In general, Lyrical dance is somewhat smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz.  Modern dance adds a blend of African and Caribbean movement with flexible torso and spine movements, isolations of limbs and strong dramatic technique characterized by turns, contractions, hinges, and large leaps in the air.  Very exciting and expressive!"
